Iceprotein – an Icelandic R&D company
Iceprotein was founded in 2005. Iceprotein's objective is to facilitate sustainable food and feed production based on R&D promoting increased utilization of natural sources and resulting in maximized quality of the end product.
Iceprotein has pioneered a unique bioactive cod protein (IceProtein®) production from under-utilized raw material for the use in the Protis fish protein dietary supplements. In a cooperation with FISK Seafood, Icelandic research institutes, and Icelandic high-tech companies, Iceprotein has developed a unique sub-cooling process that ensures the preservation of the bioactive and life-essential marine molecules from catch to capsules. Iceprotein operates two fully equipped laboratories for food and feed quality analysis.
